Guillaume ORTI Solo
Concert
In this solo performance, Guillaume ORTI engages in a dialogue through his various reed instruments, moving between moments of complete spontaneity and live compositional play. Each instrument becomes a character, eager to reveal its sonic spectrum and explore the paths that unfold between curiosity, wonder and enthusiasm.
The E♭ alto, E♭ baritone, B♭ soprano, C melody, F mezzo-soprano and C soprano saxophones come to life, speaking as much of absences as of fullness, of hollows and horizons, of verticality as much as time. It is hardly surprising that memories should surface amid a tumult of sound or emerge from the spaces left empty.
Along a path of freedom forged within constraints, we journey together through a shared space-time, carried by a rich, digressive narrative whose flow draws on the oldest of sources while reaching towards distant continuums.
